In Room 6 we have planted our seeds we got from New World for the Little Gardens. Everyone's plant is starting to grow. Lauren's Radishy Radish which sadly could have died =( My plant (Ben) is cress and was the first to grow but that is because cress grow the fastest. We planted them on the first day, so it has been 5 days. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° )
We're back from the holidays and glad to be back.Although some of us would still prefer to still be back in the holidays.Sadly we will not be having Amber anymore .We will all miss her dearly and hope to see her soon. We've been off to a great start for Term 4.Everyone is so high spirited and can't wait for the summer. Summer would give us all a opportunity to enjoy the sunshine.CAN'T WAIT!!!!!
Last week we were told to do an explanation on the Olympics, like how to hit a ball in golf, or how to be a successful soccer player. we had to choose a title and write about it, afterwards we created our athletes (last blog we talked about when we were making a plan for it) here are how some turned out: (This is Rose's)
Who is Amber? Well Amber is a new student teacher in our class training to become a teacher. She has been helping Miss.plant with subjects such as reading, writing and maths. In a few days time Amber will be teaching us and Miss.plant will get a rest. But she'll still be here helping Amber if we are too naughty which I doubt. But you'll be hearing from her in a few days time. In the meantime we have Miss.plant. We'll keep you up to date with Amber.
This week Rm 6 got three new students. One of them has been here before and he's returned from China and his name is Leo. We also have two other boys. Matthew comes from Thailand and William comes from China. Riley, Felix, Seth and James are very good friends with them and has made them feel very welcome.
Miss Plant is back, and better than ever. Well, not better than ever, but she is back and happy to be back.
This week we have been working on our Matariki inquiry. Matariki is a new year celebration for the Maori New Year, as it is so close to then, we were sent off to do a project on it. Most people went straight for doing a prezi on the computer while a few groups including mine went to do a arts and crafts project. My group did a few Matariki stories, learnt some Matariki words in Maori, did a kiwi 7 stars collage, a model kumara crop. I know other groups did weaving, scratchie art, solar systems, and more. we had to say things about why we did this and how. then we had to share it with our class, and that's what we did for a week at school.
Sadly miss Plant has been away because she has possibly got pneumonia or is just really really sick, which is sad but we have had lots of fun. WE MISS HER ='( ;-;
