Rm7 have been doing some amazing Olympic art this week. There have been gymnasts, runners, divers, the whole lot! The other rooms have been doing them too, but ours are the best! ;) We have been working super hard on them, and our explanation writing is going to go up there with them. It's going to be a record success!

There have been some amazing speeches such as Steph curry or Labron James, Loyalty in sports, Gay rights and racism. First we created a plan to know where we were heading, then we wrote the introduction. We are also doing some research to flesh out our main points. We wrote it using a format known as "OREO". That means; Opinion, Reason, Example, and then Opinion again.
Last week, we had a contest on who can create the best sherbet. we stayed in the same group the last time we did it and we had to find out the best sherbet we made from a few weeks ago. Then we had to multiply the number of ingredients by 12-30 to make a massive batch of sherbet. Then we went around to taste other peoples sherbet to find the best sherbet.

This week in room 7 we have produced some amazing switch writing. To write switch writing you need to bump into another person or animal and put one's mind into the other's body so they look like one but think like the other. Many people did celebrities such as Richard Hammond, Barack Obama, Abraham Lincoln and John Cena. Many people also did their pets like William's dog Caspar.
Last week we made sherbet. for the sherbet, the ingredients were baking soda, citric acid and icing sugar. First we tasted all the ingredients and baking soda tasted the worst( it tasted like chlorine! ), citric acid was really sour and icing sugar was far better than the others. We were in groups of threes fours and fives( 1 six )and we each had a small cup, a measuring stick, and a tasting stick. We each had turns to create our very own sherbet. Here are some pictures
