There has been an error with the previous myth post. So here is another one. Miss Parker read us some Maori myths, and then she showed us a sheet. A myth is a story that explains why something is true. We had to use the sheet to make AMAZING myths.
We are doing more of our Matariki work! We want to get to our full standard, so we do it as much as we can. We have art, posters and more! :-D
Lately, all the classes have been doing Matariki projects. We have two weeks to do this, but sadly the AWESOME blogger Sam will miss the second week [◔╭╮◔] . But, onto the happy stuff. We can present it however we want to, and we can research and present it how we want. We are given a fair amount of to work on it. At the end of the time limit, we will share it to the rest of the school.
In room Five this week we have been doing our Ikan Tests as some people call them we will inform you when we finish.
Tournament of Minds is a competition where there are teams are 5-7 people. You can do more or less but you can only win things with 5-7 people. Last year Thorndon School entered a team of 7 people. This year Briar is in the consideration of making teams. At the event will undertake a spontaneous challenge. None of the teams will know what the challenge is, prior to them undertaking it. It is a short challenge, and the team will have to work together for success. They will be judged on how well they worked together as a team, their originality and various other contexts. Last weekend some of the people went to a workshop. First there were pelmanism’s that we had to solve. There were other various puzzles like making hats and describing pictures. By Taesoo Kim and Sam Richell-Smith As some of you may know Miss Parker injured her leg badly on sunday playing football and is not attending her role as a teacher. Sorry for any inconvenience.
As you may know, we have a new student named Heather O'Neill. She is Jake's stepsister. She is a year five.
The Blogging Timetable has been unplugged. We apologize for any inconvenience.
